Typically, these markings are very subtle and are considered by most as the "signature" of fine leather. A true expression of nature's beauty, Rawhide is genuine, full-grain leather, that is made by hand rubbing dyes onto the leather until a gorgeous multitone patina is achieved. Hand finishing is further used to accentuate natural markings and variations in each hide - revealing the true character of every piece. As a final step, a protective top coat is applied to the leather for added durability. Made on American cowhides, expect a brand, fat wrinkles, and other natural markings that are the signature of full-grain leather. Approx weight of hide: 3.5 oz/sq.ft. Approx thickness: 1.3-1.4 mm
